WoodSkates are something in between riding a skateboard and roller skating with a very unique feel to it.
How do they work?
Just step onto them, give yourself a gentle push, and you’re rolling! To accelerate, use a snaking motion: push and pull your legs apart and together while twisting your knees inward and outward. It might look unusual, but it’s very effective! To turn or slow down, carve by leaning into curves, similar to skateboarding or snowboarding.
What’s special about Woodskates?
They’re crafted from carbon fibre, feature oversized wheels, and are extremely lightweight and portable. The "Big Wheels" are revolutionary: they effortlessly roll over cracks, bumps, or pebbles that would trip up smaller wheels (like those on skateboards). They’re also more energy-efficient, requiring less effort to maintain speed. And, of course, they look incredibly cool!
How much do they cost?
At the moment we offer 2 models. "Big Wheels 100 carbon" for 199€, and "Big Wheels 120 carbon" for 229€. (shipping cost is not included)

How long does it take to learn the basic skills to ride confidently?
For a complete beginner, mastering basic skills like accelerating, braking, and navigating hills typically takes a few weeks/months of practice. Consistency is key to building confidence!
What are use cases for Woodskates?
They’re perfect for "full-body fitness workouts", combine cardio, balance, and even dance-like movements for a fun, dynamic exercise session! Whether you’re commuting short distances, cruising for leisure, or turning your ride into a calorie-burning dance party, Woodskates blend practicality with playful physical activity. Happy riding!
Is it dangerous to ride Woodskates?
Since Woodskates aren’t strapped to your feet, you can simply step off in an emergency. This makes them safer and easier to learn than inline skates, where being locked into the skates can increase risk during falls.
Is it necessary to wear protection like a helmet and skateboard pads?
While it’s up to you, we strongly recommend wearing safety gear (helmet, knee/elbow pads) during the learning phase, especially for the first 6 months. Once you’ve mastered balancing, braking, and maneuvering confidently, you may choose to ride without protection in low-traffic areas. *Safety first, though!*
How fast can you go?
You can glide as slowly as walking, effortlessly cruising on wheels, or easily reach speeds of up to 15-25 km/h, thats running pace!
How and where should a beginner start riding Woodskates?
For beginners, the fastest and safest way to learn is to practice with support, like a sturdy fence, railing, or a friend who can help stabilize you. This method lets you quickly recover your balance if you wobble, avoiding constant stops to reposition. This way you will safely make progress quick!
